Smilecare Dental Plan
This is our very own dental healthcare plan. It covers all the essential preventative dental care that you may need and offers substantial discounts on other treatment.
Over the years many of our patients have wished for a cost effective way of maintaining their smiles. They have felt that a commitment from them to regular dental visits should be rewarded by discounted fees when occasionally further treatment is required. The Smilecare Dental Plan does all of this. And more.
Joining Smilecare Dental Plan
We will assess your dental needs via a thorough examination and suggest appropriate treatment. If you agree, we will then complete this treatment. Once this treatment is completed, you will be ready to join.
An agreement will be completed. This will require your signature and bank account details for the direct debit mandate. Direct debits are collected from your account on the 8th of every month. If you enrol before the last day of the month, benefit from cover starts from the 8th of the following month.
How much does it cost?
Smilecare Dental Plans costs £29.12 per month.
Membership of the plan includes:
- Regular dental appointments (two per year) which provide for:
- Clinical examination and consultation
- Screening for oral cancer
- All necessary x-rays
- Regular hygiene appointments (two per year) to provide:
- Scaling and polishing of your teeth
- Prohpy-jet cleaning if required
- Advice on the avoidance of periodontal (gum) disease and tooth decay
- Assessment of emergencies and dental pain including any temporary dressings required, carried out at the practice during normal opening hours.
- All treatment planning for your future dental needs.
- A 20% reduction off any of the following laboratory-based treatments; crowns, bridges, and dentures, but not including specialist or implant dentistry.
- A 20% reduction off any fillings and other routine dental work.
Insurance is included with all plans, providing Worldwide Dental Trauma and Emergency Callout Insurance, to give you peace of mind.
What’s considered?
You will be eligible to receive Benefit payments from the Scheme following situations, up to the limits shown on the Scheme Benefit Table, providing that the Scheme Manager (at its sole and absolute discretion) has accepted your request for assistance and benefit.
- The cost of dental treatment by any dentist up to a maximum of £10,000 for any one incident of Dental Trauma (subject to individual benefit levels).
- The cost of Emergency callouts - Pain relief for Emergency Dental Treatment.
- A specified amount if you suffer permanent facial disfigurement as a result of Dental Trauma.
- A specified amount towards overnight hospital stay in the event of Dental Trauma or Dental Emergency as a result of Dental Trauma, under the care of a consultant.
- A specified amount for Oral Cancer diagnosed after your cover start date, providing you have been diagnosed with Oral Cancer and this is the primary cancer site.
The benefit is included under your plan membership cost, if you are accepted successfully.
